All of our field staff perform a variety
of duties to help maintain and distribute our town's water supply. These
jobs range from regular water quality testing to maintaining the unseen network
of pipes that deliver water to your door.
Treatment Staff:
Kevin Gurney, Treatment Supervisor
 As Treatment Supervisor, Kevin performs a wide variety of duties. He is responsible for both water treatment and the overall operation and maintenance of all pumping equipment. Through the use of MVD’s
state-of-the-art computerized monitoring equipment, Kevin keeps the water chemistry in balance while tracking the efficiency of each pumping station. Kevin has been with the MVD since 1995.
Jason Dubois, Treatment Assistant
As Treatment Assistant, Jason’s primary duties involve the maintenance and repair of all pumping station equipment. He also maintains the water treatment systems at each pump house on a daily basis.
Jason started with MVD in 1992.
Jim Colburn , Sr. Utility Treatment Tech
"Skip" joined the MVD in 2001. He assists the Treatment Supervisor in maintaining the water treatment systems at each pumphouse.
Distribution Staff:
Ron Miner, Distribution Foreman
Ron was promoted to Distribution Foreman in April 2005. Prior to that he was Acting Distribution Foreman and from 2003-2004 was Assistant Distribution Foreman. He has been with the MVD since 1998.
Stephen
Chase, Assistant Foreman
Stephen performs a variety of utility
duties ranging from reading meters to fixing a water main
break. He also handles all water main installation projects. He has been with the District since 1997.
Dan St. Pierre, Sr. Utility Field Tech
Dan joined the MVD in 2001. He is responsible for the MVD's Backflow Prevention Program, waterline maintenance, and general maintenance.
Ed Lambert , Sr. Utility Field Tech
Ed has been with the MVD since April 2002. He is responsible for the MVD's annual flushing program, fixes water main breaks, and reading meters.
Heinz Smith, Utility Field Tech
Heinz has been with the MVD since 2006. He is responsible for outside water distribution and general repairs.
Brian Hieken, Utility Field Tech
Brian joined the District in 2007. He is responsible for outside water distribution and general repairs.
